Wonton Soup

A wonton is a type of dumpling. There are different varieties of wontons depending which branch of Chinese cuisine you are looking at.

mmmmm.....northern Chinese make dumplings and southern Chinese make wonton.

how to make it...

marinate minced meat with light soy sauce, salt, sugar, 1 egg white and chicken essence,  then stir it with chopped mushrooms and scallion. (you can have whatever you like)  





put a teaspoon of the meat mixture in the middle of the wonton

bring two corners together to make a triangle

wet the corners an curl them towards each other, then press it down well




gently lower wontons into the boiling water, and let them boil for around 10min, until they rise to the top
